As a young child, my family taught me to love Christ. In 1986,
I was attending 6th grade at a small private school, in Havana.
We were scheduled on a field trip to the Civic Center, to see
Pastor Billy Graham. That crusade had a profound effect on me,
and I dedicated my life to the Lord.
Since then, my life has been filled with many unexpected blessings.
God provided an unconventional way of funding my college tuition
to FSU. I worked as a glazing and drywall contractor, for the
university. My college roommate introduced me to the love of
my life, my husband of 11 years, Steve Aldredge. We now have
three handsome little boys, who are a blessing and have brought
us a great deal of love into our lives.
At times we've questioned our career path, not knowing what God
had in store for us. Steve worked within his family,s print shop
as a technician and customer service representative. I've been
lead to work with domestic and sexual violence victims, Florida,s
agricultural marketing, and also as the governor,s liaison for
Children and Families. At the time we were unsure of where God
was leading us.
Through extraordinary circumstances, and a severe career change,
God has lead Steve and I into the Confidential Shredding service.
By using God,s gifts of positive attitude, hard work ethics and
honesty, we dare to be different. The knowledge that we gained
from our previous work experiences, and the guidance from our
entrepreneurial parents, has guided us onto the paths of success.
We hope to show the positive effects God has on our lives.
I still hold onto the memory verse card that was passed out
to me at that revival, in 1986. Its meaning still rings out in
my heart.
"Humble yourselves therefore under the
mighty hand of God, that he may exalt you in due time:
Casting all your care upon him; for he careth for you."
I Peter 5:6-7
