YMCA Camp Indian Springs

SUMMER: The YMCA Camp Indian Springs is a traditional YMCA
summer residential camping program serving children ages 7 to
16 years with exciting options like an indoor skate park, BMX,
ATVs, paintball as well as Western and English horseback riding.
Now in our 31st year and built on the Christian heritage of the
YMCA, we value honesty, caring, respect and responsibility. Please

Springs offers in our regular program offers Archery, Arts & Crafts,
Low Ropes, Chapel, Campfire, Twi-Light Games, Devotions, Swimming
(Pool & Spring), and Canoeing, Volleyball, Team Sports and much
more. We serve children ages 7 to 16 in 9 one weeklong sessions
throughout the summer with opportunities to stay multiple sessions
with our exciting Weekend Camp Program.
FALL/WINTER/SPRING: The YMCA offers a school year based
after school program for middle school students in Wakulla County.
This program is grant funded with our partners DISC Village,
Wakulla Unified School District and the families of Wakulla County.
The Wakulla All Star Program is a prevention program that helps
build skills in middle school students to avoid negative peer
and societal pressures. Offered at the YMCA Camp Indian Springs,
students will enjoy the natural setting and some of our more
popular recreation activities.
The Camp is also available for weekend organized group usage
on a per person fee basis. Our rustic camp setting offers organizations
the ideal retreat to escape in a natural surrounding while enjoying
some of our fee based program activities, like horseback riding,
team building initiatives, swimming and canoeing as well as exploring
the nature of the surrounding community and coast. Just minutes
from Wakulla Springs State Park, we have an ala carte approach
to your organizations needs.
Located just 25 minutes from downtown Tallahassee.
Summer Staffing: Develop
lifelong leadership skills while spending your summer in an outdoor
setting supervising cabin leaders and activity staff for boys
& girls cabin groups (ages 7 to 16 years) as well as activity
areas that may included low ropes, water front, arts & crafts,
archery, ATVs, paintball, camp store, horseback riding, BMX,
indoor skate park, nature and more. As part of our directing
team, you will have the opportunity to manage people, develop
and implement staff training, assist in guided education of leaders,
plan multi-facted activities for large groups and have fun while
learning and growing in a place that values honesty, caring,
respect and responsibility. A successful candidate will have
leadership experience working with children and peers; display
strong values of honesty, caring, respect and responsibility,
demonstrate proven record of supervision of peers; and working
knowledge of camps including program activities and risk management.
